Privacy Policy
Effective date: 24 October 2026. This policy explains how Emily Deckers trading as Temple Connection uses personal information when you visit the website, join a reader list, purchase a product, apply for mentorship, attend sessions or use the community.
Who is responsible
Emily Deckers trading as Temple Connection is the controller of the personal information described here. Location: York, United Kingdom. General contact: te*****************@***il.com. For privacy requests: te*****************@***il.com.
Information we collect
We collect contact and account details, country and time zone, purchases and payment status, booking details, applications, correspondence, support messages, community contributions, and the information you choose to discuss in coaching. We receive relevant transaction information from Stripe; payment-card details are handled by Stripe rather than requested in coaching messages.
Session recordings may include your image, voice, display name and contributions. Basic technical and security information can include IP addresses, device or browser details, login records and error logs. Marketing preferences and consent records are also kept. We receive information directly from you and through the booking, payment, membership, email, form and social-messaging tools you use with us.
Why we use it and our lawful bases
We use necessary information to fulfil purchases, provide account and community access, manage bookings, deliver coaching, process payments, send service emails and take steps you request before a contract. The lawful basis is contract. Information needed for accounting or mandatory disclosures is processed under legal obligation.
For routine enquiries, proportionate security, fraud prevention, service administration and handling complaints or legal claims, we rely on legitimate interests in operating and protecting the business and our customers, where these do not override your rights.
Optional marketing is based on consent. Session recording is based on separate consent under the arrangements below. We do not treat agreeing to the Terms or acknowledging this policy as consent to every use of your data. We do not make solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
Sensitive information
Coaching can involve health, emotional wellbeing, beliefs or other sensitive personal information. Please share only what is relevant and avoid providing private information about others. Where we deliberately collect or retain special-category information for coaching, we obtain separate explicit consent as well as an appropriate ordinary lawful basis, normally contract.
You may decline to share sensitive details or withdraw consent for their future use. We will discuss whether a less detailed approach enables support to continue. Withdrawal does not invalidate earlier lawful processing; limited retention may be necessary where another lawful condition applies, for example legal claims.
This section covers communications, recordings, community visibility and service providers.
Emails and automated messages
If you join a reader list or opt into updates, we use your details for the updates and offers described when you sign up. You may unsubscribe through the email link or contact us. Unsubscribing from marketing does not prevent essential purchase, access, billing or programme messages.
ManyChat can respond to a social-media keyword and send the requested resource or link. A social interaction is not by itself permission to add you to an email marketing list. Where you sign up separately, the form explains what you are joining.
Session recordings
Live group sessions may be recorded for learning and replay within the relevant group, as explained before you enrol. Before recording identifiable contributions we explain the purpose and audience and obtain separate consent. You may keep your camera off, choose a less identifying display name and request that recording be paused for personal sharing. Contact us before the session if you need another way to participate without being recorded.
Private Mentorship sessions are recorded only with your separate consent and shared with you, not with the cohort. You can decline recording and still receive private coaching. Recordings are not used for marketing, testimonials or another cohort without fresh, specific permission. We do not enable automated transcription or AI note-taking without first explaining the arrangement and establishing the necessary permissions.
Group replay access lasts for the period disclosed before purchase and recorded in your confirmation. Access expiry and deletion from storage are separate: retention is explained below. Consent withdrawal can affect future recording and retained copies; we cannot guarantee recall of a copy another person has already seen or improperly retained.
Community visibility
Your profile and contributions are visible to members of the community area in which you post. Restricted areas are limited to authorised members. Please keep other members' information confidential and do not post sensitive information you would not want that audience to see. We set confidentiality rules but cannot guarantee other members' behaviour. Use private support for matters unsuitable for the group.
Providers and other recipients
We use No Hassle for website hosting; SmartCreator Press for membership and community; Stripe for payment handling; MailerLite for email; Tally for forms; Calendly for bookings; Google Meet for calls; and Google email and storage services and WhatsApp for relevant correspondence and support. ManyChat and the relevant Meta platforms support social messaging. Only providers used in your journey receive the relevant information.
Providers can act as processors for us or as independent controllers for parts of their service, such as payments or their own platform accounts. We may share necessary information with professional advisers, authorities where legally required, and service providers helping resolve a complaint or security incident. We do not sell personal information.
This section covers storage, retention and your privacy choices.
International processing
Our service providers may process information outside the UK. Where a restricted international transfer occurs, applicable data-protection law requires an appropriate transfer arrangement, which may involve UK adequacy regulations or safeguards such as the UK IDTA or UK Addendum and the necessary assessments. Contact te*****************@***il.com for information about the destinations and safeguards applicable to your information, including how to obtain a copy of relevant safeguards.
How long we keep information
We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for its purpose. Purchase and accounting records are kept for applicable tax, accounting and legal requirements. Application and enquiry information is kept while considering and responding to your request and for a reasonable follow-up period, taking account of the sensitivity of the information and any complaint. Coaching notes and support messages are reviewed after the work ends and retained only where needed for ongoing support, an applicable professional requirement or a specific legal purpose.
Recordings are retained for the replay or review purpose explained when consent is requested, and then deleted or anonymised when no longer needed. Before recording, we provide the applicable retention period or criteria. Account-access expiry does not itself establish that all stored copies have been deleted. Backup copies are restricted from ordinary use and removed through the relevant backup cycle. A specific dispute or legal requirement may justify restricted retention of relevant evidence.
Active membership accounts and entitlement records: while needed to provide purchased access, including lifetime entitlements. Community posts: while the relevant community and contribution remain in use, subject to deletion requests and others' rights. Marketing records: until you unsubscribe or are removed after inactivity review; minimal suppression records remain to respect opt-outs. Consent evidence is retained while relied upon and as reasonably necessary to demonstrate compliance. We review retention and remove or anonymise information no longer needed.
Cookies and tracking
We do not currently intentionally use website analytics or advertising pixels. The site and embedded services may nevertheless use cookies or similar technologies for login, security, checkout, booking and membership functions. Contact us for information about the technologies used in your journey and the available controls.
Where consent is required for optional cookies or similar technology, it must be obtained before that technology is used. Any optional email engagement tracking is subject to the applicable information and consent requirements. Marketing permission does not by itself establish permission for every form of tracking. We will update this policy and the relevant choices if our tracking practices change.
Your rights and complaints
Depending on the circumstances, you can request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability, withdraw consent and object to legitimate-interest processing. You have the right to object to direct marketing at any time. Contact te*****************@***il.com. We normally respond within one month, subject to lawful verification, clarification or extension rules.
You may complain directly to the Information Commissioner's Office at https://ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/, or an applicable local regulator. We welcome the opportunity to resolve concerns first. We take reasonable organisational and technical precautions, but no internet service is completely secure. These services are intended for adults aged 18 or over. We may update this policy and will explain significant changes where appropriate.
